Manuscript Processing Workflow

1.Submission

  1. Online Submission: Authors must submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. Ensure the manuscript complies with the journal’s formatting requirements and includes complete author information and contact details.
  2. Initial Review: The editorial office will conduct a preliminary review to check whether the manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope and submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements may be returned directly.

2.Peer Review

  1. Editor Assignment: Manuscripts passing the initial review will be assigned to an editor responsible for overseeing the peer review process.
  2. Reviewer Invitation: The editor will invite at least two peer experts to evaluate the manuscript. Reviewers will assess aspects such as the study’s innovativeness, scientific rigor, and writing quality.
  3. Review Comments: Reviewers will provide detailed feedback, including recommendations on acceptance, revision, or rejection.

3.Author Revision

  1. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers’ comments, the editor will make a decision, which may include:
  • Acceptance: The manuscript requires no further revisions or only minor formatting adjustments.
  • Minor Revision: The author needs to make limited revisions based on the reviewers’ suggestions.
  • Major Revision: The author must address substantial issues, which may involve additional experiments, data reanalysis, or methodological adjustments.
  • Rejection: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards or has significant flaws.
  1. Revision Submission: Authors must complete revisions within the specified timeframe and resubmit the revised manuscript. The revised version will be sent back to reviewers for a second evaluation.

4.Final Editorial Decision

  1. Revised Manuscript Review: The editor will make a final decision based on the reviewers’ feedback on the revised manuscript.
  2. Final Decision: The editor may choose to accept, request further revisions, or reject the manuscript.

5.Proofreading and Typesetting

  1. Acceptance Notification: Upon acceptance, authors will receive an official notification.
  2. Proofreading: The editorial office will adjust formatting and proofread the manuscript to ensure compliance with journal standards.
  3. Author Proofreading: Authors will receive a proof copy and must carefully review it for accuracy before approval.

6.Online Publication

  1. Open Access: After proofreading, the manuscript will be published online in open-access format on the journal’s website.
  2. Archiving: All published manuscripts will be archived in a digital repository to ensure long-term preservation.

7.Post-Publication Services
